What still needs an account
Anything that touches money or identity: placing an order, funding a wallet, the Quick Trading widget, and everything under account settings.
That division is the right one. You can evaluate the platform without handing over anything; you cannot transact without an account.
Why this is better than a demo
Ouinex already offers a demo account, and it remains the better tool for practising. But a demo has a cost: you have to register first.
The question a demo answers is can I trade this well? The question guest access answers is is this platform worth my time at all?, and making someone create an account before they can answer the second question is asking for a commitment before giving them a reason.
The natural order is now: look around, then open a demo, then fund an account.
What to look at
The instrument list, if you are comparing exchanges. Which markets are actually available, from one account, is the fastest way to tell whether a platform fits how you trade. A live chart, on an instrument you know well. Charts are where you spend most of your time, and they are difficult to evaluate from a screenshot.

Fees, which is a page rather than part of the platform, but it is where the decision usually gets made.
