Market Environment
Wall Street is rising in premarket trading, driven by easing bond yields and a surge in oil stocks following the removal of Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela.
Investors are assessing the geopolitical and energy implications of a potential democratic transition in the country, which could reopen access to oil reserves for Western industry.
"This morning, much uncertainty remains, and markets are questioning the scale of any potential short-term supply disruption, which could be offset by a longer-term increase in Venezuelan production," explains Henry Allen, analyst at Deutsche Bank.
US bond yields are falling:
10-year yield: 4.18% (-2 bps)
2-year yield: 3.47% (-1 bp)
30-year yield: 4.86% (-1 bp)
