**Market Environment**
US markets are moving without clear direction this Wednesday, as investors remain cautious ahead of the highly anticipated Nvidia (NVDA) earnings report after the close. Analysts expect +50% annual revenue and earnings growth, driven by strong demand for AI chips and data center momentum.
Other key earnings are also expected today, including results from CrowdStrike (CRWD), Snowflake (SNOW), and HP (HPQ).
On Tuesday, Wall Street closed slightly higher despite political tensions. Former President Donald Trump announced he wants to remove Lisa Cook, a member of the Fed's board of governors, over a mortgage fraud case. Cook has announced she will file a lawsuit to contest this decision.
"US economists do not anticipate a radical short-term policy change, as Cook was already one of the most dovish members of the committee. However, there could be broader implications for the Fed, since a majority of the board of governors (not the full FOMC) is sufficient to adjust the interest rate on required reserves." — Henry Allen, Deutsche Bank
Despite this uncertainty, markets advanced, with the S&P 500 ending just -0.04% from its all-time high, supported by economic data arguing against a sharp slowdown, especially after the recent jobs report.
Furthermore, the US has doubled tariffs on certain Indian products to 50%, reigniting trade tensions with New Delhi.
