Free TradingView Premium? Beware of Malware Targeting Crypto Wallets
By Ouinex
Crypto traders who are eager for free perks might want to reconsider accepting offers for "free TradingView Premium" subscriptions. A sophisticated malware campaign is targeting unsuspecting users, using fake promotions to gain access to crypto wallets.
Cybersecurity firms have identified an increase in phishing attacks disguised as TradingView membership offers. The scam lures victims in with promises of upgraded charting tools, only to install malicious software that steals login credentials and drains digital wallets.
“This is a highly targeted campaign aimed at crypto traders who rely on TradingView,” warned cybersecurity expert David Myers. “Once installed, the malware extracts stored passwords and private keys, giving hackers full access to victims’ funds.”
The attack is particularly effective because it exploits traders’ trust in reputable platforms. TradingView, a widely used charting tool for crypto and traditional markets, has confirmed that it does not offer free premium memberships via third parties.
Traders are advised to avoid clicking on suspicious links and to double-check promotional offers directly from official sources. As crypto adoption grows, so too do the risks reminding investors that if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.
