How Ouinex SocialFi Season 1 NEX Points Really Work
This is the reference page for SocialFi Season 1: the full mechanics behind the weekly NEX Points pool, the anti-whale rule, the four daily engagement mechanics, and exactly what happens to Season 0 balances. The launch announcement covers the headlines; this page covers the math.
The 12-Week Season, In One Picture
SocialFi Season 1 runs for 12 weeks, ending at the $OUIX token generation event (TGE), currently planned for the end of summer. Each week runs on a fixed cycle: Thursday midnight UTC to Wednesday 11:59pm UTC, with points distributed every Thursday morning for the week that just closed. Until that Thursday distribution lands, any total shown on the SocialFi page is an estimate, not a final figure.
At the end of Week 12, a snapshot of every wallet's total NEX Points balance fixes its proportional share of the airdrop. Everything earned across all 12 weeks, trading, tasks, streaks, drops, referrals, counts toward that final number. The Season 0 claim opens at the same moment as the Season 1 claim, with the points-to-token conversion announced at that point and not before.
The Weekly NEX Pool: A Volume Bonding Curve
There is no fixed weekly emission in Season 1. Instead, the size of the NEX Points pool for a given week is set by the platform's total derivatives trading volume during that week, the pool adapts to the community's actual activity rather than paying out a flat amount regardless of volume.
Three rules govern what counts:
- Spot volume never counts. Only derivatives volume feeds the pool.
- Crypto derivatives and TradFi derivatives count equally. A dollar of volume is a dollar of volume, whatever the instrument, crypto perpetuals, forex CFDs, commodities, stocks, or indices.
- Below $25M in weekly platform volume, the pool is zero. That week distributes nothing, for anyone.
Above that floor, the pool follows a bonding curve: the pool grows as volume grows, but the *rate per dollar* decreases as the tiers climb:
The curve is intentionally regressive per dollar: the pool keeps growing with volume, but each additional million pays a smaller rate than the one before it. The SocialFi page shows the live weekly volume, the pool currently unlocked, and the gap remaining to the next tier: the whole community is climbing the same curve together.
Your Individual Share and the Anti-Whale Rule
Your trading points for the week are your share of that week's pool, proportional to your eligible derivatives volume:
trading_points_user = (effective_volume_user / total_platform_volume) |
multiplier_user is 1.15 for Season 0 veterans (the +15% bonus, explained below) and 1.0 for everyone else. There is no individual cap; your share is self-limiting simply because it's a fraction of a shared pool.
Simple share, worked example. The week's total platform volume is $25M, so the weekly pool is 2,000,000 NEX Points. Your volume is $2.5M-10% of the platform total. You earn 200,000 NEX Points: 10% of the pool.
The anti-whale rule. This is not a hard cap, every dollar of genuine volume still earns points, but volume above a threshold earns at half weight. The threshold is 10% of that week's total platform volume, recalculated every week so it scales automatically with the platform:
threshold = 0.10 x total_platform_volume_week |
Anti-whale, worked example. The week's volume is again $25M (pool: 2,000,000 NEX, threshold: $2.5M). Your volume is $5M-20% of the platform total. Your first $2.5M earns at full weight: 200,000 NEX Points (10% of the pool). The extra $2.5M above the threshold earns at half weight: 100,000 NEX Points. Total: 300,000 NEX Points, versus the 400,000 a purely linear share would have paid. The 10% cut is a single adjustable setting, and it's disclosed transparently on the SocialFi page: the point is that no single wallet can dominate the pool on its own.
These two examples use the same figures as the official tutorial video walkthroughs, so the numbers you see there will match what's on this page.
The Four Daily Engagement Mechanics
Trading volume is the primary driver of NEX Points, but four smaller mechanics run alongside it every day:
Trading Streak
Place at least one trade a day, derivatives, any instrument, to keep the streak alive. A 5-day streak pays a flat 2,000 NEX Points bonus; every 25-day streak pays 10,000. Miss a single day and the streak resets to zero. The day boundary is midnight UTC, same as the rest of the system.
Daily Mystery Drop
One card per wallet, once per day, tap to open a random NEX Points bonus. It resets at midnight UTC. Some in the community call it the lootbox; the official name is Daily Mystery Drop.
2x NEX Happy Hour
During limited windows, all volume traded counts double in the next distribution. A live countdown appears on the SocialFi page whenever a window is active. Scheduling mixes windows announced in advance on Ouinex's social channels with surprise windows that carry no warning at all.
Referrals
A flat 10% of everything your referred users generate, trading and tasks, is added to your total, forever, for as long as they're active. The bonus is single-level, purely additive, uses the same flat rate for every referrer, has no minimum volume threshold, and has no cap on referral count. Nothing is ever deducted from a referred user's own balance.
Social and Ecosystem Tasks
The task system from Season 0 stays active and sits at the bottom of the SocialFi page. Task point amounts are intentionally lower in Season 1 than they were in Season 0, because the two systems run on different NEX ratios and Season 1 puts the emphasis on derivatives trading volume rather than task completion.
Season 0 Carryover: What Changes and What Doesn't
Season 0 is over, and its balance is final. Each wallet's real Season 0 total is displayed as-is during Season 1, in a dedicated Season 0 Points section on the SocialFi page, it is never merged into the live Season 1 total, and it does not change while Season 1 runs. That section is hidden only for wallets with a zero S0 balance; if you don't see it, your wallet simply has no S0 points.
Season 0 and Season 1 are two separate systems built on two different point ratios. Amounts should never be compared between them, a Season 0 number and a Season 1 number are not measuring the same thing, so a side-by-side comparison doesn't tell you anything meaningful.
Some Season 0 users also have a Bonus Badge inside that Season 0 section. The badge is not linked to veteran status in any way, being a Season 0 participant does not automatically mean having the badge. If you don't see the badge, the Season 0 section, or both, it simply means your wallet doesn't have those specific elements, nothing more.
Every Season 0 participant does receive the +15% veteran bonus: a permanent uplift applied to every NEX Point earned in Season 1, across trading, tasks, and referrals. It is the only multiplier anywhere in the system. It's already included in your displayed Season 1 total, shown on its own dedicated line ("+X Bonus NEX Points earned"), so there's nothing to activate or claim separately. It boosts Season 1 earnings only, it never applies to the Season 0 carryover balance itself.
The Season 0 claim opens at the same time as the Season 1 claim, and the conversion ratio is announced at that moment, not before.
Prohibited Behavior and Point Forfeiture
Multi-accounting, bots or scripted trading, wash trading, and leaderboard manipulation all lead to disqualification, forfeiture of points, and account suspension. Distributions and the weekly snapshot are final once processed, support cannot promise a recalculation except in the case of a verified system error, which is handled through internal escalation before any adjustment is made.

FAQ: SocialFi Season 1 Mechanics
When do my points arrive?
Every Thursday morning, for the week that just closed on Wednesday 11:59pm UTC. Everything shown before that distribution is an estimate.
My points are lower than I expected, why?
Check the anti-whale rule first: volume above 10% of that week's total platform volume earns at half weight. Also remember the pool itself depends on total platform volume, so the same personal volume can pay differently from one week to the next.
Why did nobody receive points this week?
If the platform's total weekly volume stays below $25M, the pool is zero and that week distributes nothing to anyone.
Is there a cap on how much I can earn?
No individual cap. The only limit is the anti-whale rule, volume above the 10% threshold earns at half weight rather than full weight.
Do spot trades count toward NEX Points?
No, only derivatives volume counts toward the weekly pool. Spot trades do count toward keeping a Trading Streak alive.
Do my referral bonuses take anything from my referred friends?
No. The 10% referral bonus is purely additive; referred users keep 100% of their own points.
I didn't get my Daily Mystery Drop today, why?
One drop per wallet per day, resetting at midnight UTC. If today's drop was already opened, the next one arrives after the reset.
How do I know when Happy Hour is live?
A live countdown appears on the SocialFi page during the window. Some windows are announced on Ouinex's social channels; others are surprises with no advance notice.
Do I have the +15% veteran bonus?
It applies automatically to everyone who took part in Season 0. It's already included in your displayed total, on its own bonus line, so there's nothing to activate.
Does the +15% bonus apply to my Season 0 points?
No, it boosts everything earned in Season 1 (trading, tasks, referrals). It never applies to the Season 0 carryover balance itself.
