**Market Environment**
US indices start the week higher, initially driven by a trade deal between the US and the European Union. However, gains eased throughout the morning.
The agreement calls for a 15% tariff on certain European imports, while the EU's commitments to invest in the US remain vague. According to Paul Donovan, chief economist at UBS:
"The outcome is better than the worst-case scenario for the US economy, but still below the January situation. It's bad news that markets had probably already anticipated."
On the bond front, the yield on the US 10-year fell by 2 basis points to 4.37%, signaling appetite for safe havens despite the initial stock rebound.
**Stocks to Watch**
Tesla (TSLA) +2%
The stock rises following the announcement of a massive $16.5 billion deal with Samsung to supply semiconductors through 2033. Samsung will produce IA6 chips in its Texas plant, near Elon Musk's home, who has indicated personally overseeing the progress.
Alibaba (BABA) +2%
The Chinese giant surges after unveiling its "Quark AI Glasses," featuring its own Qwen language model. Scheduled for late 2025 in China, this product marks its entry into the AI wearables market against Meta and Xiaomi.
Atai Life Sciences (ATAI) -17%
Sharp drop after a failed Phase 2b clinical trial by Recognify Life Sciences, a company in which Atai holds a major stake. The drug targeting cognitive symptoms of schizophrenia did not meet its primary endpoint.

Have a great session, everyone.
