China – Shanghai Composite +0.33%
Second consecutive session in the green, driven by hopes of new stimulus, easing US-China trade tensions, and renewed interest from retail investors via margin buying. Beijing is extending antidumping duties on phenol for five years.
Hong Kong – Hang Seng +0.51%
The Hang Seng rebounded after three down sessions, supported by strong US tech performance and new records on Wall Street. Sentiment improved despite the offshore yuan pausing after a five-day rally.
